Crew Profiles:
Captain | David Kennedy | American

BIO: Meet Captain Dave Kennedy, the salty sea enthusiast who first dipped his toes into the world of sailing at the tender age of 5 in the picturesque waters on Nantucket. Little did he know that two decades later, the call of the sea would shape his life’s journey.

Having Captained five different vessels, Dave has sailed from the shores of Santa Cruz to the tropical embrace of St. Thomas, finally dropping anchor in the captivating harbor of Newport, Rhode Island. With a track record of 8 Atlantic crossings, split evenly between east and west, Dave has truly become a seasoned sailor, mastering the art of the open ocean.

From guiding sailing yachts to commanding the decks of luxurious 164’ yachts, Captain Dave has navigated his way through the waters of Italy, France, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece and Turkey. Despite his global adventures, the Bahamas hold a special place in his heart, offering the perfect backdrop for maritime escapades.

Beyond the compass and charts, Captain Dave is not just a skipper; he’s a laid-back, friendly sailor who enjoys connecting with guests, organizing exciting excursions, and sharing his love for the ocean. His goal? To ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience on the high seas, along with a chuckle or two.

During his downtime, Dave is known for his animal rescue missions across the Bahamas, Virgin Islands, and the mainland US. When the waves beckon, catch him on a longboard, riding the swells and soaking in the ever-changing panorama of the setting sun.

Embark on a seafaring adventure with Captain Dave, where each journey is seasoned with the tang of the sea, a pinch of humor, and a bounty of unforgettable moments on the open water – dad joked included!

Chief Stewardess | Haley Satterfield | American

BIO: Meet Haley, the Chief Stewardess with a heart as deep as the ocean and a love for all things salty. Hailing from Florida’s coast, her childhood was surrounded by the sea, and she practically had gills before she hit double digits.

With a degree in communications and a past in hospitality, Haley’s journey to becoming Chief Stewardess on a yacht was like the perfect wave – smooth and exhilarating. Growing up with a bustling family of 5 siblings, she’s all about that tight-knit crew vibe: it’s like having a floating family on the high seas.

When it comes to work, Haley is the creative force, the hardworking engine, and the ultimate team player. Going above and beyond is her middle name, and she’s on a missive to give guests the kind of trip that legends are made of.

When the anchors not dropped, you’ll find Haley in her element. Whether she’s shredding the streets on a skateboard, riding the waves on a surfboard, exploring the underwater wonders while snorkeling, or getting lost in the pages of the next crime/ mystery novel, she’s living her best, sea-loving life.

Sunset, to Haley, isn’t just a time of day; it’s a spectacle to be absorbed. So, If you catch her in those rare moments of downtime, you’ll find her on deck, wrapped in a good book, soaking in the hues of the setting sun.

2nd Stewardess | Alexis Carpenter | American

BIO: Alexis, a Cleveland native, kicked off her journey on the soccer field, playing nationally and traveling the country and later representing Miami University of Ohio while majoring in Business. A pivotal shift occurred when her parents set sail for Shanghai, China, inspiring in Alexis a profound desire to explore the world.

Post-graduation, she embraced the conventional 9-to-5 grind, but her adventurous spirit yearned for more. Taking a leap of faith, Alexis relocated to Fort Lauderdale, and since then, she’s never looked back.

For over four years, Alexis has thrived in the yachting scene, infusing her passions for fun and adventure into her work. Whether it’s captivating and entertaining guests or creating intricate tablescapes, she elevates ever yacht experience to an extraordinary level.

From the heartland to the high seas, Alexis epitomizes a life less ordinary, proving that sometimes you must sail away from the familiar shores to discover your true home.

Mate | Michael Kiraly | American

BIO: Meet Mike, a Jersey Shore native who traded his surfboard for a life of adventure. Growing up in Toms River, New Jersey, he rose the waves and soaked in the coastal vibes. At 21, Mike set sail with the US Coast Guard, stationed in Galveston, Texas, Kodiak, Alaska and Charleston, South Carolina.

From the Bering Sea to the Caribbean, Mike’s Coast Guard journey included search and rescue missions, hurricane responses, and federal law enforcement boardings. After six years of service, he chartered a new course into the world of yachting, inspired by his sister’s own seafaring tales.

Now navigating luxury yachts, Mike’s expertise spans from the Hamptons to the Caribbean. Whether cruising or casting lines, he thrives on driving the tender and curating the perfect playlist for every excursion. During his downtime, you’ll find Mike riding the waves, savouring the thrill of surfing, and challenging Alexis to some intense pickleball showdowns. Engineer | Alyssa Raymond | American

BIO: Meet Alyssa from lil’Rhody, the fearless yacht enthusiast with a knack for turning career detours into high-seas adventures. Hailing from the Ocean State, she swapped the stethoscope for the deck shoes after a brief stint as a hearing specialist. Yes, she’s the short one with hearing aids – a sailor with a flair for breaking stereotypes.

Alyssa rolled the dice on a super yachting internship in Newport, RI, and lo and behold, she’s been riding the waves ever since. From 6-month escapades in the West Indies, tackling deliveries, daywork, and provisioning, to sailing from Antigua to Newport (because, why not?), she’s amassed tales that could fill a maritime comedy special.

After a four-year stint as the mate on her last boat, Alyssa not only perfected her sea legs but also managed to find sidekicks in the form of Dave and Haley. Together, they navigated The Bahamas, turning the ocean into their playground.

When she’s not chartering courses, Alyssa loves to laugh, embark on spontaneous adventures, and life some serious weights – because why not be both salty and swole? Her future goal? Captaincy, of course. So, buckle up for a journey with Alyssa – where laughter in the compass, the beach is the destination, and a good time is the only itinerary.
